On the way to Pran Buri via route 4 from Cha-am lies the 27-hole Imperial Lake View Hotel & golf club with adjoining 75-room hotel. Designed by Roger Packard in 1993, the course is truly absorbing. Although rolling fairways and spectacular mounding surrounding the greens many of which are hidden from the tees make some shots rather tricky, golfers are helped out by well-defined fairways to get back on the right track. Particularly absorbing is the par-three 14th in which the player tees off from a small island with the intent of landing his ball on another small island 207 yards away.
