Trang Attractions:
Talay Trang Archipelago
Collectively, there are 47
islands in Trang. They are especially crowded in the Had Chao Mai
National Park in Si Gao and Gan Tang which covers the western
coast line for 20 kilometers.
KRADAN ISLAND
This is where the Representative Office of the
National Park locates. It is a good diving site for observing
various kinds of coral reefs and fishes. Otherwise, the white
clean sand and clear water can be found. Gigantic waves in the
gulf behind the island is seemly for windsurfing.
MOOK ISLAND
Most parts of the island are filled with towering
rocks encouraging the swallows to inhabit along the cliff. The
fascinating Morakot Cave is hidden inside, where its tiny
entrance will provide the only sufficient space for the swimmers
or the small boats to pass through and to admire its beauty only
when the tide recedes. The inner emerald sea is embraced by the
white sandy beach and high cliffs.
LIBONG ISLAND
It is known as the biggest island in Talay Trang.
Other than being the home of dugongs, various species of sea
birds are assembled. Particularly in the cold season, the large
immigrating flock is waders. The most expected wader is Crab
Plover. Joo Hoy Cape and Toob Beach is the good bird-watching
site. When climbing up higher on the hill, there will be a
splendid place for observing dugongs.
SUGORN ISLAND
It is situated in Tambon Goh Sugorn, Pa Lian. The
southern coast of this island is geographically the plain
terrain. Beaches all-round the island are for recreation,
especially the beach around Sugorn Resort which is on the west
coast and Yao Beach on the east which is located amidst Baan
Tung and Baan Laem.
NORTH LAO LIANG AND SOUTH LAO LIANG ISLANDS
These are 2 connected islands in Pa Lian. Most of
the areas are filled with mountains, except for the short plain
beach on the east. Mainly covered with dense forests, there is
no residential community on land. Only bird-nest concessionaires
are eligible as inhabitants.
MAH ISLAND
It is one of the islands situated in Gan Tang and
known as the whole mountainous island with the peak is 40 sea
level.
PETRA ISLAND
It is one of the islands situated in Pa Lian and shaped as
2 mountains lying next to the other from north to south, where
the narrow plain ground is on the east between them. The whole
island is covered with dense forests without any residential
community. Only bird-nest concessionaires are eligible as
inhabitants.
WAEN ISLAND
Being one of the islands situated in Gan Tang. It is erected as
an isolated towering island with no plain ground and residential
community.
