Satun Attractions:
Mambang Mosque
is the central mosque of
Satun, situated at the central of Satun town.
Its new art
architecture decorated with ceramics, marbles and colored glasses.
On the top dome gives a good view of Satun town. King Bhumiphol
persided over the opening ceremony of the mosque on september
20,1979
Guden Mansion
used to be a town hall of
Satun. It has 2 floors and was buil with the idea of western. An
achitecture of doors and windows are roman style and roof was
built in Thai sytle. This is a very impertant ancient remain for
Satun.
Tarutao Island
151 KM2, is the biggest
island of Tarutao National Park. Its most land contains hills,
woods, cliffs and small gulfs. Some gulfs afford white sand
beaches streching a few kilometers. In 1939 it was used to be a
prisoners. Later in 1947 the prison island was closed. In those
period tarutao Island was noticed o is cruelty and pirates.
Adang-Rawee Islands
located in Tarutao
National Park, camposed with two islands, Adang Island and Rawee
Island, The 30 KM2 area provides similar surroundings of hills and
forrest . Beaches are stretching around the islands. Other islands
are Lepeh Island where is the residence of Sea Gypsy who have
their own culture and Hin Ngam
Island
where round-shining rocks in several size are found in

Tone Din Cave
is situated at Tambon Wang
PraChan, Amphoe Kuan Done, about 9 KM from Kuan Sato Junction. It
is the most beautiful waterfall of Taleban National Park. The
multi-story waterfall where water runs from Khao Chine Provedes
beautiful plants and wild animals.
Khao Tanan Cave
is situated at Moo1,
Tambon TungBulang, Amphoe Tung Wa. It is an existing-alone
mountain having 2 caves within, Phra Cave and Toh Nam Cave. A
resident of Buddhist monks is situated there.
Ko Saban & Ko Poy is situated in
Andaman Sea at Moo6, Tambon Nathon, Amphoe Tung Wa. The surounding
of these islands is very beautiful, steep hills without beach
covering with plants. The stone of the hill looks like glass
stone.
Beach & Waterfall
Ao Noon Beach is situated at Moo4,
Tambon Paknam, Amphoe La Ngu, provide a small beach where is
enable for a picnic and relaxation.Not for from the beach is lying
a fish nersery center of Fisheries Department.
Pak Bara Beach
located at Ban Pak Bara,
Moo2, Tambon Paknam, Amphoe La Ngu. It is a port and a pier for
transferring to islands of Satun. The shading pine trees along the
coast paralleling the La Ngu-Pak Bara Road afford tourists with
beauty and view point.

ing Reed Water fall (Cicada Waterfall)
is located at Moo11,
Tambon Kuan Sato, Amphoe Kuan Done, 20 KM from Kuan Sato Junction.
It is one of beautiful waterfalls.
Plew Waterfall
is a 2-level waterfall.
The lower level is a wide basin of 40x50 meters. Both level are
surrounded with many type of plants.
Wang Saai Thong Watrefall
is situated at Tambon Bo
Pud, Amphoe La Ngu. Its beauty is the basins which look like lotus
petals, cascading from the top to the bottom. the stream water is
from the pressure of itself in the cave under the mountain. Its
surrounding gives a good view of green plants.
Toh PayaWang Hill
is a recreation garden,
situated in satun Municipality, containing a lime stone hill, a
grotto, a stream, as well a verious of plants decorating with
flowers. It is about 500 meters away from Toh Yong Gong Hill. It
is said a strayed Chinese man came to Satun and fell in love with
a Muslim girl named "Ya Wang". But their love was against by the
girl's parents trailed them and found them sleeping aside the
Mambang Canal. They were parted and cursed, then became Toh Yong
Gong and Toh PayaWang Iying aside in the heart of Satun town ever
since.
Toh Yong Gong Hill
is situated in Satun municipality. It is believed to be a holy
hill where reposing the venerable "Toh Yong Gong" spirit who is
vowed by people to fulfill their requests.
National Park
Tarutao National Park
located in tambon Ko Sarai,
Amphoe Muang. Its 1,4900 KM2 is announced to be a national park
since 1974 including 51 islands lying around Andaman Sea, Strait
of Malacca. It is the southern most island of Thailand, 4.8 KM
from Langkawi, Malaysia. In 1982, it was honored "ASEAN Heritage
Park and Reserves". Tarutao Nationa Park is know as a source of
fertile minerals, plants, wild life, sea life, as well as a human
tribe called "Sea Gypsy" who are alread settled down at Lepeh
Island of Tarutao Nation Pak.
Taleban National Park
is situated at Tambon Kuan Sato, Amphoe Kuan Done, boring
Malaysia. it is announced to be a national park in 1980 to
preserve forest, wild animals, and minerals. Numberous species of
wild lives are found in the park as well as waterfalls and a swamp
which is about 600 meters wide and 800 meters long. It is the
resource of many stream and river.
Taleban is the name that is derived from Malay language which
means "submerged land'. It is said that about 300 years ago, this
area had mountains on either side named Khao Chine and Khao Wang
Pra where were fertile, good for agriculture. One day there was a
vibration phenomenon with very loud noise lasting for months.
Suddenly the land sunk down and water ran in. It became a big
swamp like it is now.
