There is lots to do for families on Phuket, the Island in
Thailand's South. Anyhoo it is a relatively easy task to
write about family attractions on Phuket Thailand so where
do we start?
Why not begin with the Phuket Butterfly Gardens, heck they
have more than 6000 butterfiles there' plus a horde of
creepy creawlies and shellless turtles. Not to mention the
Koi fish and the beautiful gardens. It makes a great visit
for the family. What about the Gibbon Rehabilatation Cente?
This too is a worthwhile visit as kids (and adults) can
stand on the viewing platform and watch the goings on. Oh
and we must certainlly mention the elephant rides.
Kids really love this activity as they (most times) feed the
elephants and often try to ride with them when they go into
the water to bathe. The family will love it. Oh you say
culture is your wont!
Well get down with the family to Wat Chalong. They have a
big (and I mean really big, about 45 Meters in height)
Buddha which is made completely of stone.
Wat Chalong by the way is home to many temples.Go to Dino
Park which by its name has a Dinosuar theme. Heck it also
has a mini-golf course that should keep dad, mom and the
kids occupied. The River Rovers is one of the best
excursions on Phuket for kids. It gives them a chance to see
a fish farm, life on the river and feeding the monkeys. Do
this and your kids will not be dissapoint.
