The 18-hole Waterford Valley Golf Course lies approximately 40 minutes from the city of Chiang Rai in one of Thailand's most attractive and in the winter -- coolest areas.  The beautiful mountains of the North provide a pleasant distraction to a day on the fairways, which themselves are a sight for sore eyes -- surrounded by trees, shrubs and bushes.  Numerous hazards adorn the surroundings and the course is fringed by pleasant housing projects that fail to impose on the beautiful surroundings.  The resort runs a 20-room lodge as well as a 30-room condominium-style accommodation with room rates ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 baht.
