Providing stunning views of Chiang Mai's hills and the Doi Suthep temple, the tough 27-hole Lanna Golf Club is a must for the keen golfer.  Situated only 15 minutes drive away from Chiang Mai, the 27-hole courses' fairways are lined with trees which offer the golfer welcome shade, while its greens are very well looked after and offer fantastic play all year round.  Although opened as an 18-hole in 1975, nine more holes ware added later on what used to be the club's horse riding track.  The club also has a swimming pool, a shooting range and another horse track and tennis courts, making it one of the most family orientated and historic northern Thai golf courses.
