On Koh Lanta, in the
South of Thailand, we started Lanta Diver in 1998. In the few years which have gone by since
then we are pleased to note that Koh Lanta has not fallen in to usual dismal traps which so often
is the case when a new holiday location starts to develop. Here on our website we hope that non divers as well as divers will find some useful information about the island. As we are a 5 star IDC dive centre arranging courses as well as daytrips and live-aboards we have obviously dedicated a lot of spacefor diving.
The best dive sites in Thailand
The hard part about describing Koh Lanta is the difficulty in being fair to this beautiful island. Koh Lanta is about 20 km (as the bird flies) long and a few kilometres wide. The fantastic beaches succeed each other along the west coast of the island and in the last few years the selection of bungalows of varying standard and of activities has improved considerably. Our dive sites are the same as before, the same dive sites which made the leading dive guide author Paul A. Rees rank the dive sites around Koh Lanta as
some of the best in Thailand. We fully agree with him, after having dived many different sites of the world it was no coincidence that we choose Koh Lanta as a base for our operation.
