What is the weather in Thailand? Thailand lies just south of the Tropic of Cancer, within the tropical monsoon zone of Southeast Asia, and enjoys a warm mild climate throughout the year.
Roughly divided, there are three seasons: the cool season (Nov.-Feb.), the hot season (Apr-May), and the rainy season (Jun.-Oct.). Average temperatures are about 29° C, ranging in Bangkok from 35° C in April to 17° C in December. The northern region can be a bit cooler during the cool season, so visitors are advised to pack a sweater or light ja.... More details |

How refreshing it is to hear and read an unbiased and true story about Thailand and its real people .Being an expat Aussie, married to my beautiful Thai {Isan} wife for 19 years and now happily retired and living in Nakhon Phanom Province it really is fantastic to read something factual at last.I keep telling my relatives now scattered around the Globe that please listen to me and not the drama queens of the TV. networks and the supposed "we wouldnt tell a lie" Press when it comes to knowing ANYTHING about this Country. On American thanksgiving I went to a great party. I was going to call it a dinner party, but as I got there at about 1:30 in the afternoon and the joint was already - if not jumping - at least buzzing, I guess the term garden party would be more accurate.. Unsurprisingly the majority of the guests were Americans and North Americans but there was too a good smattering of Brits with other nationalities on hand to add an international flavor. Plenty of Thais represe.... More details |

It was some time since I had visited Phuket, over two years to be moderately exact. Well before the tragic Tsunami and for a long time after it (but not because of) I sweltered away in Bangkok and opted for Pattaya as a getaway destination. But I had a series of meetings in Phuket and was, literally, anxious to see the place again. .... More details |
